Having read other WordPress hosting reviews before, you’ll know how good these prices are.
Nevertheless, as with other popular hosting companies like Siteground and Bluehost, the prices may fluctuate frequently. If you’re considering EasyWP as a host after reading this EasyWP review, you’d better lock in the low rates while they last.
The Pros of EasyWP
Not only is EasyWP a very affordable WordPress hosting provider, but it is also one of the fastest. The average load time is actually 0.7 seconds, which is faster than other WordPress hosting providers, such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, WPEngine, Kinsta, and others. It’s great value for money. It’s even better when you take into account everything else EasyWP and Namecheap have to offer.
Check out a few other reasons why EasyWP should be rated number one on your list of managed WordPress providers.
1. You get your money's worth
Building a new website can be difficult when you're on a budget. Even though there are plenty of hosting providers to get your site online fast, some may be quite expensive to use.
With Easy WP, you get everything you need as well as more for a very reasonable price. Namecheap and EasyWP are among the few managed WordPress web hosts offering features such as domain name registration, SSL certificates, proprietary control panels, and 24/7 customer service for such a low price.
The Easy WP renewal fee is really low too, so you don’t have to concern yourself about sudden price increases. Its affordable pricing is without a doubt the best thing about this popular WordPress hosting provider.
2. Install and setup WordPress instantly
EasyWp offers one-click WordPress installation, unlike some “managed” WordPress web hosting services.
With the user-friendly process, site owners can build solid foundations from the start, speed up site creation, and avoid critical mistakes.
3. A User-friendly Dashboard
Many web hosts use the popular cPanel dashboard. There's nothing wrong with this because it's pretty straightforward and straightforward to use on its own, but Namecheap took a totally different route with EasyWP.
The EasyWP Namecheap system uses its own proprietary dashboard dubbed the EasyWP Dashboard, as discussed briefly at the outset of this EasyWP review. The dashboard is user friendly, easy to use and is specifically designed for WordPress hosting.
Those looking for cPanel might be disappointed. It can only be found with Namecheap’s other hosting plans. On the other hand, if you aren’t, you will likely enjoy the EasyWP Dashboard. EasyWP makes the process of getting started and using WordPress as straightforward as 1-2-3.
4. A free Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
A CDN enables you to deliver your site's content instantly and thereby improve customer browsing experiences.
Not familiar with CDNs?
Here is how they work:
The network consists of a global network of servers. The content from your website is delivered in real-time through the server closest to the person's location when they click one of your website links in Google, Facebook, or anywhere else.
Easy WP Namecheap subscribers will receive a free CDN service with each plan. You can speed up your website with it and scale it a lot faster, making it a very worthwhile tool to use.
Best of all, it's easy to add your CDN and sync it to your domain in minutes. The process with EasyWP is straightforward and simple.
5. Backups and updates are automatic
Website backups are essential for website owners. Should the worst happen, you can count on it. This will prevent all the hard work you have put in to creating your WordPress website from being erased and make your life as a website owner a little less stressful.
There are automatic backups and manual backups both available with EasyWP. Your site is either automatically backed up by Namecheap or you can perform the backup yourself. Ultimately, it's up to you. With EasyWP, backing up is super easy no matter which way you go.
6. Convenient, built-in caching
For the sake of speed and performance optimization, each EasyWP plan comes with the EasyWP cache plugin preinstalled. The built-in solution will cache your databases, objects, and pages automatically, so there's one less thing to worry about.
7. Guaranteed Money-Back Policy
You can always trust a company that offers a money-back guarantee. It's a reflection of confidence in a company's products, regardless of whether it is a hosting product or a tennis racquet.
All Namecheap hosting products, including EasyWP, come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If for any reason you’re not satisfied, contact them within 30 days and they will give you a refund.
You can also get started with a 30 days of EasyWP free trial, so there’s really nothing to lose.
The Cons of EasyWP
In my experience, I've dealt with dozens of hosting providers, and each one has some downsides. It's just that some have more than others. It goes without saying that no Namecheap web hosting review would be worth it's salt if it didn’t mention the downside of using the service.EasyWP has a few drawbacks despite providing all the features you can expect from a managed WordPress host:
1. The Number of Websites is Limited
As of right now, EasyWP’s WordPress hosting plans are limited to a single WordPress installation. In order to host multiple WordPress sites, you have to purchase a $29.99 per site website add-on subscription. Despite this being a pretty good deal, if you need to host multiple websites with EasyWP, you'll quickly find that the price adds up, making EasyWP a much more expensive WordPress hosting solution.
2. Restrictions on Plugins
With EasyWP, you can use dozens of plugins. The EasyWP plugin comes pre-installed on all WordPress sites hosted with EasyWP, so there are some plugins that are simply not compatible without negatively affecting site performance. The full list of plugins can be found here with the reason for the restriction.
3. The Uptime Guarantee is vague.
The concept of uptime guarantees is not new. Almost every reputable web hosting company has one. It's just that not all of them actually deliver on them.
EasyWP guarantees 100 percent uptime, which means that your site will stay up and running every minute of every day. It can be hard to live up to such a guarantee.
EasyWP has good uptime, but it’s not perfect like most things in life. The bold uptime guarantee, in the fine print, only applies to server uptime, not your website uptime. For this Namecheap EasyWP review, I experienced an average uptime of 99.84 percent. However, it was nowhere near 100 percent. It is worth noting that other shared, dedicated, and WordPress hosting providers do the same thing and are therefore unable to match their uptime guarantees.
4. Support for customers is lacking.
Those of you who are more comfortable with email or live chat will not be as concerned with this. You should know, however, that Namecheap support doesn't include phone support. It's the same for EasyWP and all the other hosting products they offer.
So you can’t actually talk to someone if you have any questions or run into a problem. The only way to get help is through live chat and help desk tickets.
To make matters worse, Namecheap's live chat support is less than satisfactory. Despite the fact that the help desk could have provided a quick reply to the simple question I posed, I was told to wait for the agent to look over the request for 3-5 minutes. How frustrating!
In a follow-up conversation, I asked another straightforward question and was placed on hold again for another 3-5 minutes. It goes without saying that if you have a lot of questions, it is always a good idea to consult their knowledgebase or FAQ beforehand. Finding answers to your questions might be quicker and more efficient with this approach.
EasyWP's main features
While EasyWP has a couple drawbacks, it has a wide array of features that allow its WordPress-focused plans to truly stand out.
One thing is offering free Namecheap domains for a year, but EasyWP also offers access to Namecheap’s built-in site builder. There are over 200 customizable templates and a drag-and-drop interface to get you started regardless of what business you are in. Furthermore, as it is a content management system, or CMS, it can be used alongside WordPress to create a WordPress website even easier.
With Namecheap's EasyWP plans, customers also get a private, secure email solution. With its nimble interface and tons of features, it makes managing your mails and contacts really easy.
Free SSL Certificates
Security is a top priority for EasyWP. In order to demonstrate this, SSL certificates are included with every Namecheap and EasyWP plan.
Every SSL certificate is accompanied by the official SSL seal, 128-bit or 256-bit encryption, and 24/7 technical support.
Free and Premium Apps
In addition to providing these features, EasyWP also offers several free and paid WordPress integration tools. Some of these readily accessible apps include:
- Namecheap Uptime Monitoring
- G Suite
- Canvas and more!
The overall user experience with EasyWP seems impressive, thanks to the right mix of features and very affordable pricing.
It's worth checking out EasyWP if you're looking for an affordable managed WordPress hosting solution that makes setting up and managing your WordPress blog a piece of cake.
Nevertheless, if you’re less concerned with cost and more concerned with features and performance, EasyWP may not be as good as other popular WordPress host providers.
